We expect a few spots to become available, so we encourage interested swimmers to sign up! Families will be contacted if an opening becomes available. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
The Leavenworth Swim Team a competitive summer swim team and part of the Wenatchee Valley Summer Swim League. We welcome kids of all abilities, aged 6-18, that wish to experience the competitive yet recreational summer swim experience.
For the safety of all swimmers, participants must be able to:
- Listen and follow directions in the pool and on the deck
- Swim one full length of the pool (25 yards) proficiently without using the lane lines or pool edge for support, using at least one recognizable stroke (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, or butterfly)
New swimmers will be evaluated prior to the season, either during Swim Team Prep or on a date TBD.
We highly encourage all new swimmers to sign up for Swim Team Prep, which is typically held in the evenings during the two weeks prior to the start of Swim Team. It is organized by the pool staff, and questions about participation should be directed to the City pool. New swimmers unable to attend may consider private lessons during that time to help prepare for the season.
We expect that swimmers commit to attend practices and compete in at least 3 of the 5 meets plus Champs. The championship meet is the last Saturday of July. Regular meets typically happen the 5 Thursdays before that. Swim Team practice typically starts in the morning the Monday after school gets out.
Please note that parents are required to volunteer for our home meets. This is a fun social experience that lets you watch the meets from the pool deck.

The cost is $100 per swimmer. This covers coaching, meets, lifeguards, and insurance.
After we have received 120 complete applications across approximately three equal age divisions, additional registrants will be placed on a waitlist.
The team suit color is BLACK.
Refund Policy: If your swimmer is not able to meet the requirements and pass the swim team test on the 1st day, we will allow a full refund, less processing fees. If your swimmer chooses not to swim before we've reached capacity or 6/1, whichever occurs first, we will refund you 75%. If your swimmer chooses not to swim after we've reached capacity or 6/1, we are unable to refund your registration fees.
